scaleLIT Nonprofit Impact Report

As a communication and development associate at scaleLIT (formerly Chicago Citywide Literacy Coalition), I created various materials to highlight the organization's impact on adult education in Chicago and beyond. One example is the webpage shown to the right, which synthesized data from across the organization's programs to create a compelling case for support. My colleagues on the design team worked with me to format the report on a compelling, expandable webpage.

In creating this report, I prioritized information according to its alignment with the organization's mission and vision, with the most exigent data first. Drop-down menus for "The Details" of each category allowed viewers to assess each program's impact in more depth without interrupting the flow of the page as a whole.  Because the intended audience for this report was already familiar with the organization's programs, I focused more heavily on capturing program outcomes than on detailing day-to-day operations. This page is currently being used by the organization digitally and in print to support upcoming fundraising initiatives.

The images here illustrate a portion of the full report. Click below to visit he full page live at www.scalelit.org/give.

Dollar General Adult Literacy Grant

While working as a communication and development associate through AmeriCorps, I sought and applied for funding opportunities to build capacity in adult literacy and workforce development programs for a nonprofit organization. Synthesizing prior applications and funder reports written from the organization, I built a cohesive case for support that was leveraged in later grant writing to fund general operating costs.
