Content Strategy
LVI Website Content Review and Recommendations
As part of a Content Strategy team, I conducted several website reviews to help partner organizations improve their online content. For this specific project, I analyzed the design and structure of an adult education nonprofit's website and, based on best practices for accessibility and usability, I recommended site revisions to reach potential donors and volunteers more effectively.
This report leveraged audience analysis tactics and user experience principles to recommend improvements in design, content, and layout. Many of the recommended changes were quickly implemented, resulting in a more user-friendly website to drive increased volunteer and donor engagement.
DePaul Sustainability Website Voice and Tone Recommendations
In my graduate-level Content Strategy course, I helped revamp the website, newsletter, and social media content for the President’s Sustainability Committee. I conducted user experience research and facilitated message architecture activities to understand both the organization and their audience’s needs, before synthesizing and presenting the research with my team. For this segment of our final report, I presented recommendations for the website’s voice and tone based on our research.
After presenting these findings, I went on to conduct an accessibility assessment of the website and add features including image alt. text to make the site accessible to a wider audience. I further assisted with streamlining and developing copy for several pages on the new site.
